iRacing Announces New Endurance Championship!
Just this past week, iRacing and FIVA (iRacing Internationale de Virtuel l'Automobile) ( iRacing's version of the FIA) have announced a huge endurance racing series that will be launching in April 2020.
The official statement from iRacing stated that
"The 2020 iRacing Endurance Series will see vehicles in four distinct sports car classes take on a calendar featuring team-based racing on four of the world’s most prominent road courses. Headlined by the premier GTE class and including entries in GT3, GT4, and TCR"
which means - not only will I be able to return to my Ferrari, we will also be getting a brand new car - the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Unlike current the majority of current Motorsport (with the exception of the "Triple Endurance Crown" - Le Mans 24, Spa 24 Hours, and Nurburgring 24 Hours) iRacing has made every single race truly exhilarating - spreading them far enough apart to get the hype rolling - every other month one of these 12 Hour long Grand Races will take place, and points will be collected throughout the year.
The 2020 Schedule is also something to marvel at - racing at some of the world's greatest race tracks.
iRacing Endurance Series Championship 2020 (iRES) Calendar
April 18-19: Suzuka Circuit
June 27-28: Silverstone Circuit
August 8-9: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
October 17-18: Circuit of the Americas
These races will be held at 01:00GMT and 13:00GMT to cater for both sides of the world.

In this announcement, iRacing also announced
"We also have some fun and NEW events and series on the horizon for 2020 that feature both team and individual events as well as some amazing prizes....
Regarding the "fun and NEW" events and series, we will be making those announcements soon. I can tell you however that they will be completely separate from our current series and special events."
